Battle of Cognitive vs Emotive

We develop our own rationales, powerful mind works, you may say
We reason everything in life choices
It is a security reliever, so that we can always fall back to this record for comfort
To feed our super ego that we are strong in mind, and not weak by heart

Feelings… A word of weakling, you may find
Yet, feelings… Is the most Powerful possession in every living person
Feelings exist without us having to create it
Feelings, not to be manipulated
Feelings, free-spirited

To balance ourselves
We often create cognitive reasonings to combat our feelings
To make things ‘right’
We try to tag reasons to feelings

Feelings… Needs no reason

We try to eliminate feelings with reasons, out of fear
Do we realize something now?? Fear… itself is a feeling

So… Which source is controlling which source?
Ironic, isn’t it?

So when you think you can always win this battle of cognitive vs emotive
Think again…
Feelings come as they wish
You can choose to block away, in fear that you may not keep it down
And continue to think great of yourself that you have again won another battle
Block away… Itself, is a flight attitude, runaway soldier
So have you won really?

I reason for things I do
I don’t reason for how I feel
I reason, to understand and accept
I don’t reason to resist

Reason for a reason
Feel for living
